Nobody likes homework but providing patients with resources to understand and manage their persistent pain can be a great addition to their treatment plan. What are some of your favourite patient resources? Reply in this thread to share!

You can also check out our resource library for
    additional resources under

As it is good to be educating about understanding persistent pain, pre-selected video info-educational resources have also been a good resource.

We have "prework" -- we ask patients to watch the animation at www.tamethebeast.org before they see us. I've also started to give people www.poweroverpain.ca as well, especially if they won't be able to work with our multidisciplinary team or attend groups.

    Hi there

I use "Managing Chronic Pain: A Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy Approach Workbook (Treatments That Work)" by John Otis. It is based on CBT and it is easy to follow with many practical exercises for patients to do on their own.
