Collaborative Mentorship Network for Chronic Pain and Addiction

The Bone and Joint Strategic Clinical Network released the Should Assessment Clinical Pathway in February 2022. The pathway was co-designed by patients, family physicians and should specialists as a guide to ensure appropriate management, investigations, and referrals of patients with should conditions.
The purpose of these pathways is to: initiate early, non operative management for suitable patients; reduce unnecessary diagnostic imaging; increase appropriateness of surgical referrals; and reduce waiting lists for surgical consult.
